Contact your doctor immediately if you experience any severe allergic reactions, such as difficulty breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, or hives.
Seek medical advice if your symptoms worsen or don’t improve after completing the Z-Pak course. This includes:
- Persistent or worsening cough High fever (over 101°F or 38.3°C) Severe chest pain Intense abdominal pain Diarrhea that lasts longer than a few days or is accompanied by severe cramping. Signs of dehydration, such as decreased urination and dizziness
Additionally, discuss these situations with your physician:
You develop new symptoms during or after treatment. You have a history of liver or kidney problems. You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant. You are taking other medications, including over-the-counter drugs and supplements. Interactions can occur. You have a known allergy to azithromycin or any other antibiotics.
