Understanding the Similarities and Differences Between Adcirca and Cialis

Both Adcirca (tadalafil) and Cialis (tadalafil) contain the same active ingredient: tadalafil. However, they differ significantly in their intended uses and dosages.

Cialis treats erectile dysfunction (ED) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It’s available in various dosages, typically taken as needed or daily. Adcirca, on the other hand, specifically treats pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). It’s prescribed at higher dosages than Cialis for ED and is usually taken daily.

The higher dosages used in Adcirca reflect the drug’s function in improving blood flow in the lungs, which requires a more potent dose than that needed for treating ED or BPH. Never take Adcirca to treat ED without your doctor’s explicit instruction; doing so could be dangerous.

Consult your physician to determine the appropriate medication for your specific health condition. Self-medicating with either drug carries significant risks. Your doctor will consider your medical history and current health to recommend the correct treatment plan and dosage.

In short: same active ingredient, different uses, different dosages, different prescriptions. Always follow your doctor’s instructions.
